Hello! My name is Susan and I invite you to drop by my macrame website – Macramenia.com. If you are a lover of indoor plants like me, then you likely want to display them as naturally and beautifully as possible. Macrame plant hangers are the perfect way to do just that.

Keeping your indoor plants in a “happy spot” for them to thrive can often be a challenge. Using macrame hangers allow you more natural alternatives to work with. My African Violets, for example, love to hang in front of a southern exposure window with filtered sunlight coming through the blind. In my opinion, natural jute cord and hemp are superior for macrame hangers, as they offer the most attractive finish without taking any glory from healthy, happy, and beautiful plants.

Macrame hangers have been updated some from the 1970′s. Using hemp, glass beads, and a wider choice of colored, wooden beads are the main contributions I have made to this change. A fashionable cord of choice in the 1980′s was nylon rope. If anyone would like a hanger made out of this material or have any other special requests, just send me a note.

I also love creating stained glass projects and have discovered that macrame and stained glass make great neighbors. In fact, my glass beaded hangers were inspired by my stained glass sun catchers. If you also appreciate stained glass, keep checking macramenia.com for the announcement of my stained glass website coming in the very near future! I plan on offering macrame hanger-stained glass sets.
